Business Security System Testimonial

Security is an important part of any business. You want to protect your assets as well as keep your employees safe, so you get an alarm system and some good locks. But what else can you do? You can heighten your security with a little cooperation from your employees and some planning on your part.

Restaurants, especially popular ones, take in thousands in receipts every day. This is a great draw for criminals and a great danger for the business and the people who work there. In order to protect yourself you will have to take a few precautions aside from having a security system.

When you start your restaurant business keep in mind that the less the money travels, the fewer chances you’re taking with safety.

The first deterrent is a safe place to keep excess cash until you can make a deposit to your business account. Many businesses have drop safes for this purpose. A drop safe can be freestanding under the counter, set into the floor or can even be located in another room altogether. The employee, once they reach a predetermined cash total, unobtrusively puts the money in an envelope and drops it into the safe through the drawer. In turn, the safe is emptied periodically and the receipts taken to the bank or picked up by a courier service.

Many business owners choose to make bank runs by themselves. If this is the approach that you have decided on then your safety depends on a lack of a routine. Go to the bank at different times, take different routes each time and you may even want to vary the car you drive. Don’t let criminals observe patterns in the way that you go about doing your banking as it only makes it easier for them to plot against you.

If you are looking for a way to catch a dishonest employee or monitor a high theft area like food out the back door when no one is looking a hidden camera may solve your problem.

Complete systems on the other hand are anything but discreet. They have everything included from cameras, wiring, monitor and DVR to do mostly external security on buildings and parking lots. They can have anywhere from 4 to 16 cameras. Some systems are wired some come wireless.

They send a clear unmistakable message that the building is being watched.

Lastly are PTZ dome cameras. They are the most sophisticated security cameras in the world. They have full pan tilt zoom capability with great resolution and 230 X -236 X magnification and a fabulous zoom lens that varies by model. One model automatically adjusts to changes in light and object distances with 360° continuous monitoring.

They are the perfect answer for external security to catch vandals. Want to get the license plate # on someone who just robbed your business? Turn a high speed PTZ camera loose on them

Charlotte Locksmith – Is your Home secure?

Mul-T-Lock

Charlotte Locksmith A-Access Lock & key wants to know if your home is secure. Read this article and check to see if we can help secure your home. Don’t be a victim because of some simple steps you can take to secure your home.

Is your home secure?

  • Some little known statistics
  • Most burglaries are committed in broad daylight and nearly one-third occur through unlocked doors or windows.
  • Some illegal entries occur by use of a former occupant’s key.
  • Approximately half of all forced entries are made without the use of a tool.
  • The average time spent entering a home to commit a burglary is less than three minutes.
  • Neighborhood Watch and home security go hand in hand.
  • The addition of good quality locks and increased security measures require the burglar to take more time and more noise to enter. This increases the likelihood that neighbors will notice and call 911.

How can I check to see if my house is secure?

  • Are all exterior doors (including the garage) strong enough to withstand excessive force?
  • Are exterior doors secured with a deadbolt lock that has a minimum one-inch throw?
  • Are all strike plates and frames for each door strong enough to withstand excessive force?
  • Are sliding glass doors and windows secure against forcing the locks or lifting the doors out of their frames?
  • Are garage doors secured (overhead and side door leading into garage)?
  • Are double-hung windows secured with pins or extra locks to discourage prying?
  • If moving to a new residence, did you hire a reliable Charlotte locksmith to re-key all exterior doors?
  • If possible, have the locksmith make one key to fit all locks for more convenience.

Charlotte Locksmith A-Access Lock & key can help you with all your security needs. Feels free to check out our site and contact us for more information.
